Who better give you travel tips than your trusted friend, right? Well, your jet setting friends can now give you sound advice for your vacation by using their Facebook accounts.

TripAdvisor, the world’s biggest travel site just launched their “Friend of a Friend” feature that gives you highly trusted reviews and opinions from friends of Facebook friends.

According to vice president of global product for TripAdvisor Adam Medros, “Travel advice from friends is incredibly useful, but your inner circle may not have all the answers on a particular hotel or destination you are searching. The Friend of a Friend feature increases the probability of an even greater personalized TripAdvisor experience by highlighting opinions from a larger network of travelers that know the people you trust. This way, you get to choose a voucher code for Thomas Cook that’s specifically tailored for you.”

If you are a person who views privacy as an integral part of your system, you can adjust your privacy settings within your Account Settings in you Facebook page to limit access on TripAdvisor. Those who do not want to have access to their friends travel advice or don’t want them to see their own reviews, you can opt out not be bugged by this.

The “Friend of a Friend” feature is now available on TripAdvisor sites the world over except China and Egypt.
