Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation spends $200M on toilet technology

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates unveiled a futuristic toilet Tuesday that doesn’t need water or sewers and uses chemicals to turn human waste into fertilizer. It is the brainchild of research projects funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s biggest private philanthropy organization. There are multiple designs of the toilet but all work by separating liquid and solid waste. “The current toilet simply sends the waste away in the water, whereas these toilets don’t have the sewer,” Gates said. “They take both the liquids and solids and do chemical work on it, including burning it in most cases.”

It looks like there’s a problem with the hitbox for new Overwatch hero Ashe

As u/DarkyPaky discovered, the latest addition to Overwatch might need a hit box adjustment, as hers is currently very noticeably oversized. It appears that not only does the hitbox for Ashe’s head include her wide-brimmed hat, but it also seems to extend above her visible model entirely. Ashe has one of the smaller character models in the game, but as it stands she might well be one of the easiest to land a headshot on right now – a problem for a hero with only 200 points of health.

The best weapon in ‘Just Cause 4’ is Mother Nature

Just Cause 4 arrives at the end of a busy season of open world games. Fortunately, the series has always done things differently from the likes of Assassin’s Creed, Read Dead Redemption, Far Cry and the rest. It’s the game that coaxes you into causing destruction and explosions, offering a shamelessly hard-boiled physics playground for you cut loose inside. During a lengthy playtime session last week with what appears to be very close to the final game, Just Cause 4 begs to be live-streamed, clipped and shared on Twitch, Twitter, Reddit, Discord and everywhere else.

Overwatch Finally Reveals What Torbjorn’s Much-needed Overhaul Will Look Like

Overwatch’s feisty dwarf engineer Torbjorn has long been considered a“troll pick.” In my experience, it’s common for teammates’ blood pressure to skyrocket whenever players pick him. We already knew Torbjorn was getting a much-needed overhaul, and today, Overwatch’s game director Jeff Kaplan finally announced what Torbjorn 2.0 will look like.

Bad North, a Real-Time Tactics Roguelite, is Available Now on Xbox One

Bad North is a minimalistic, real-time tactics roguelite where you defend a series of small islands from hordes of Viking invaders. That genre description is a bit of a mouthful, so let’s break it down and explain what this game really is. The core gameplay is real-time tactics which (in Bad North) is a mashup of real-time strategy, turn-based tactics, and tower defense. You defend small, charming islands (and the houses on them) against wave after wave of Vikings using just a handful of adorable soldiers.

Overwatch Pulls Loot Boxes in Belgium After They Were Declared Gambling

From Blizzard…

In April 2018, the Belgian Gaming Commission published a report that was endorsed by the Belgian Ministry of Justice in which they concluded that paid loot boxes in Overwatch are considered gambling under local law. While we at Blizzard were surprised by this conclusion and do not share the same opinion, we have decided to comply with their interpretation of Belgian law. As a result, we have no choice but to implement measures that will prevent Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm players located in Belgium from purchasing in-game loot boxes and loot chests with real money and gems.

No matter what, we want to make sure that our players around the world have the best entertainment experience possible. While players in Belgium will no longer be able to purchase paid loot boxes in Overwatch and loot chests in Heroes of the Storm, they’ll still be able to earn them by playing the games, and they’ll still have access to all in-game content.

These measures will be implemented shortly. We also remain open to further discussions with the Belgian Gaming Commission and Ministry of Justice on this topic.

Meanwhile, Blizzard said that Rialto features various canals. Omnic-piloted gondolas and other similar Venetian setting. The game developer admitted that the Realto is actually the first map to be added in the game after the Blizzard World.
