Indiegogo Backed PUP Scan: One Click Smart Scanning, Storing and Sharing

The PUP Scan is definitely, not your mother’s scanner. In fact, this smart, sleek, portable gadget would look quite at home in a Mission Impossible movie or in Elon Musk’s car. But don’t let its miniature size and handsome features deceive you: the PUP Scan is definitely beauty, brains, and brawn. Renaud Pelissier and company exceeded their Indiegogo campaign back in 2016 by 364% and for may good reasons. The PUP Scan is perfect for business and personal use – especially in this photo savvy age of Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. This is the one-click gadget for people on the go who can’t be hindered by wires or distance.

If you were doing business outside the comfort of your office and need to take snaps of documents, contracts, drawings, books, maps, receipts, or plans, it is truly awkward to take shots using your smartphone. Not only are the results unprofessional (skewed, badly lit, distorted, blurred), you would also need to take the photos in parts if the original document is large. Putting them together like a puzzle using some third party software is a waste of time, especially for those, who are techno-challenged. Your smartphone also couldn’t self-adjust to the figure or paper’s diameters – leaving you with a lot of distracting background space. Why does that matter? If there is marked color-contrast between the document and background, you end up with poorly exposed images.

You can say goodbye to all that now with the PUP Scan. It’s the only hand-held scanner that is fast and takes high-quality scans that are true to the color of the original. In fact, low-light situations are not an issue. The scanner adjusts to the size of the document being scanned (autocrop sizes A3-A8) so images are clean and sharp. It is connected so scans can be sent to the cloud conveniently, securely, and in real time. It even scans from OCR to Word! Perfect for scanning, storing, printing and sharing documents without the hassle of plugging into an outlet or messing with many cables.

The power of the click is yours with the PUP Scan – this automatic, standalone wonder (no need to connect to your smartphone or PC) runs on a long-lasting battery that could last up to 8 hours. With an offline memory of 2,000 pages, resolution of 13.2 MP and up to 1200 DPI,  the capability to scan multiple pages to PDF or Word, Mozaic feature perfect for large sizes like posters and send in color or B & W, the PUP Scan is poised to be one of the most functional gadgets for the modern home or office.

It is projected to sell at $389 but you can pre-order for $299 (free shipping worldwide) with estimated delivery by June 2018.

Currently, even while in the prototype stage, over 50 units have been claimed by delighted clients and you can be the next one.

Reolink Go: Wireless Mobile Rechargeable HD Security Cam at Indiegogo

Reolink Go, an HD Security Camera currently sold in the U.S., the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, and Australia is wire-free, mobile, and rechargeable; features that make it one of the most innovative in the market. Crowdfunding on Indiegogo starts late March 2018 and the fact that it is supported by telecommunications giants AT & T and Telstra (with more mobile service providers to come) makes it attractive to investors.

“Wire-Free Security Solution on the go with no wifi and no power outlets”

Reolink Go is one of those inventions whose concept is so fundamental that it makes you wonder it hasn’t hit the market any sooner than it did. It operates on 4G-LTE network and is perfect for situations where you want a security solution without the hassles of a wired or corded system. If you hate messy cabling, this is definitely the security camera of choice.

But clearly, the foremost advantages are its ability to operate in areas where with limited WI-Fi access and no electricity.

Reolink Go can be as mobile as you are – take it while traveling or make it your low-maintenance sentinel even in remote areas or sites without power.

It’s perfect for homes, boats, trucks, construction sites, depots, farms, and practically any place you wish to keep an eye on but could not do in the past because of constraints.

And there’s more to love aside from its long-lasting per charge battery that saves you money and is eco-friendly. When connected to a Reolink Solar Panel, your surveillance system can now run on natural, non-stop power and is totally freed from needing electricity!

You also get to capture image and videos with amazing clarity and vividness thanks to Reolink Go’s “Starlight Vision”. Whether used indoors or outdoors, the camera can capture images with amazing detail even in low light conditions up to a distance of 33 feet or roughly 10 meters.

A fully functional surveillance camera, it is easy to install and economical since it does not require expensive electrical wiring or phone cabling. It can monitor what you want to see – especially when you aren’t around to physically keep your site from intruders.

You can be traveling or sipping pina colada somewhere else and have the confidence that Reolink Go is keeping an eye. Of course, it can’t actually prevent a home invasion or catch critters poaching your produce – but that’s another story. With its capacity for motion detection and 2-way audio, you can design other security measures for alerting the authorities.

So go ahead and monitor, protect, secure, watch, and supervise from just about anywhere!

Bug-A-Salt: Indiegogo Champ a Lethal Weapon for Deadly Flies and Mosquitoes

There is always a child inside every person; now you can indulge your gun-toting persona with Bug-A-Salt, a fun solution to kill flies, mosquitoes, slugs, snails, caterpillars, roaches, moths, and crickets. It’s also good for getting rid of bugs that infest your kitchen or eat away at your garden and produce.

Channeling your energies towards annihilating bugs with non-toxic salt seems weird but it has been listed as one of the 7 Coolest Things on Amazon under $50. The Bug-A-Salt, a clever wordplay on bug assault (with salt) has made it on the prestigious pages of Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Tailgaiting and has been featured on Discovery Channel, Gizmodo, and MSN.

Lorenzo Maggiore, the Bug-A-Salt inventor pitched the idea at Indiegogo to raise $15,000 so he could produce and market his “gun”. Surprisingly, the idea of this California artist caught the fancy of the public to the tune of $420,246 or over 30 times his goal back in 2012. Its popularity is partly due to its humorous take on insect control and its eco-friendliness. Plus, you don’t end up with the mess and can cleanly sweep away the kill.

Not your cup of tea? Think again! Flies go everywhere and are everywhere where they can spread Diptheria, Typhoid, Salmonella, Amoeba, Leprosy, Tuberculosis, and cringe-worthy Hepatitis. Houseflies are especially attracted to putrid places and trek bacteria along with their eggs when they land on your food. Consider that female flies have a 21 day-lifespan and can lay 3,000 eggs each with maggots hatching within 24 hours – that’s a lot to eradicate before it turns into annoying swarms (bringing disease outbreaks in its wake)!

If you are one of those who has seen the oh-so-graphic time-lapse video of maggots developing on meat, I am sure you have the urge to roll up a newspaper and swat away. Thing is, that works just like stepping on roaches. You release not just the germs but also eggs along with the splatter.

Users who initially found the idea ludicrous find it an amazing weapon to keep deadly mosquitoes away. There is a global fear of mosquitoes as these insects are no longer confined to the tropics or swampland. These insects cross borders and have raised the alarm for vector-borne diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika.

So how does it work? You simply load plain table salt (look Ma, no pesticides) into this obviously fake-looking assault rifle and you’re off to the killing fields. This bug killer is safe to use, non-toxic, and does not require batteries – just don’t point at anyone’s face.

“Ordinary table salt is utilized as a lethal projectile with accuracy range of within 3 feet. Bugs will remain whole for easy clean-up.” —-  Bug-A-Salt site

Price ranges from $39.95 for the YELLOW BUG-A-SALT 2.0 eradication device. Accessories can be bought separately. The Lawn and Garden Model that comes with a larger load is just $3 more and targets pests infesting lawns, flower beds, vegetable patches, and gardens. Perfect for roaches, aphids, moths and more.

Increase the deadly power with BUG-BEAM LASER ADAPTER KIT for $ 19.95 more. Like the gun, it doesn’t require batteries and is compliant with FDA standards. And surely it’s not for everyone but the company sells a variety of sauces for those who fancy barbecuing crickets! Shooting with a plastic shotgun looks crazy fun but it works – and that matters when you want to be the “Lord of the Flies”.
