There’s nothing left to the imagination as images, price and specifications leak ahead of the BlackBerry KEY2 launch tomorrow.

BlackBerry Key2

BlackBerry’s successor to its well-received KEYone, aptly named KEY2, is launching tomorrow at a New York event. Fans however, already have a pretty good idea of what’s in store as details of the phone surfaced.

Reputed tipster Even Blass leaked specifications and price details of the handset on this official Twitter account. Renders were also posted highlighting the touch and type form factor of the Blackberry KEY2, similar to its predecessor.

The phone’s back has a textured panel with what looks like rubberised finish. The back also houses the dual rear camera setup and that unmistakable BlackBerry logo.

The front of the BlackBerry KEY2 has the full QWERTY keyboard and a 4.5-inch full-HD touch-supported display. It also sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera with full-HD (1080p) video recording support. Additionally, a fingerprint sensor is embedded on its spacebar key.

Blass also leaked a very detailed specification of list of the phone. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It has two storage options, 64GB and 128GB, expandable up to 256GB through an SD card.

In terms of connectivity, the handset has FM radio, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The BlackBerry KEY2 is going to be available in the US with a starting price of $649. To compare, the BlackBerry KEYone was launched in the US last year at $549.

Google Lens Has Its Own App For Faster Launch

0
Google Lens

The Google Lens has made its way to the Playstore as a standalone app.

Google Lens

Google announced Lens last year as a way for users to identify objects, locations and other stuff from an image. It was first made available for Pixel owners and then later on expanded into the Photos app. And just recently, it was rolled out to most Android devices that supports Google Assistant.

For those who don’t use Google Assistant however, this will not be possible. That is unless you use the LG G7 ThinQ which has a hardware key specifically for Lens.

Now, Google has made it available for all Android users running Marshmallow or above.

The standalone icon is basically the shortcut to access the lens. It means users don’t have to go through the Google Assistant in order to launch Lens. However, bear in mind that it is still part of Google Assistant. The app is just a quick access tool.

What exactly can you with Google’s AI-capable viewfinder? When the app is opened, whatever your camera is pointed at, Google will give you information about it. It is also a useful way to translate, copy and search for texts. Pretty cool eh?

You can download the app here.

Bitcoin Wallet Vs Paperwallet

0

Paperwallet Versus Bitcoin Wallet

Bitcoin owners have the option to choose between a Bitcoin Wallet or a paperwallet. This is for the purpose of storing their Bitcoins. Before making a decision, maybe you should learn more about Bitcoin wallets and paperwallets.

The number of Bitcoin owners are recorded in a blockchain, globally distributed ledger. Each account has a balance and is associated with a hash of public key. The key functions as an account number. The owner of the account is identified with a long random number. This number serves as a private key.

This key may come in different forms. It may be a computer file, a long number written down, or a so-called seed phrase. This key must be kept private. Anybody who has possession of it would be able to spend the Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin Wallet

The Bitcoin wallet is a software where Bitcoin’s private keys are kept. Handling incoming payments, making transactions, and signing messages may also be done by using the Bitcoin wallet.

bitcoin wallet

The Bitcoin wallet can be installed on a mobile phone or a computer. It may also be installed on its own device, as in the form of a hardware wallet.

The Paperwallet

A piece of paper that holds the backup seed of a wallet, or the private keys themselves, is called a paperwallet. It is regarded as some of the most secure wallet options, as it is not easy to hack paper.

It is important that the private keys are created by you alone, and that nobody else can have access to it. But in most cases, you need to make a paperwallet yourself.

peperwallet

You can also make multi-signature paperwallets to further protect yourself from theft or loss. This is convenient for the extra paranoid, who does not want to settle with just a single paperwallet.

If you own Bitcoins, you have the option to choose between which wallet to use – the Bitcoin Wallet or the paperwallet. Choose whatever is most convenient to you.

Fallout 76

Bethesda Softworks is slated to have press conference ahead of this year’s E3 event. In fact, this is the company’s fourth year in a row to hold a press conference of its own in advance of the event. This time, we would be revealing some fresh details about the company’s new games for E3 event.

In case you don’t know, Bethesda Softworks’ activities are set to kick-off on June 10 at 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET. You can get the latest updates about their events by following their social media accounts in Facebook, and Twitter, among others.

Here’s a quick round-up of the things that Bethesda Softworks might present during this year’s E3 event.

Fallout 76

Play

Online reports claim that Bethesda Softworks is gearing up for Fallout 76, but the company is not saying much about the rumored game. These reports were based on the briefest of teasers that we’ve seen so far on the web. However, we are not sure if the company would be presenting the Fallout 76 during the media conference. What we are certain, though, is that the rumored game takes place on October 27, 2012. This is based on the canonical Fallout timeline. Other reports hint that Fallout 76 is expected to feature multiplayer action.

Rage 2

Play

Another game that is gaining wide attention from among gamers is Rage 2. You can recall that Bethesda has released the first gameplay trailer back in the middle of May. A quick check of the game’s trailer showed a bit of information. This includes multiple, distinct factions and diverse environments.

Wolfenstein 2, Dishonored 2

Also, Bethesda would further give details about Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. This game came out back in October 2017. Recently, the game could now be ported over to the Nintendo Switch. On Dishonored 2, avid fans of this game would be hearing a possible update since it was released in November 2016.

Not Loyal to Cortana: Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant Are Coming Soon To Xbox One

0
Xbox One

For the past months, we heard that software giant Microsoft was seriously working on Alexa support for Xbox One. This support has a voice control that is compatible with Amazon Echo speakers. And just this week, we’ve have seen proof that Microsoft has offered more beyond its support for Alexa but for Google Assistant, as well.

Microsoft’s Xbox One will soon support Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant

If you could still remember, the company no longer provides its users with a device that could alternately control console using voice commands. This happened when Microsoft killed Kinect. While users could use a headset to speak with Cortana, multi-tasking is really impossible.

Now, the forthcoming Microsoft’s Xbox One console would soon be getting an ability to enable Alexa and Google Assistant support through a skill on both platforms. At present, the software giant is only supporting Cortana, its own smart digital assistant via headset or Kinetic accessory.

It is even a common knowledge that Microsoft’s digital assistant Cortana has a limited set of skills. Hence, the company’s decision to include Alexa and Google Assistant support is a welcome development, especially for Xbox users. This means that Xbox users could be able to control their console through both of the digital assistants.

However, as of press time, there are no exact features yet as to what Microsoft would support. What is certain, though, is that Xbox One owners would no longer require to use a Kinect or headset to issue voice commands.

Jetson Xavier

Nvidia has announced earlier this week a chip intended for robots. The company claims the chip crams $10,000 worth of power comparable with GPUs and would be sold for AU$1,299. The chip’s name is called Jetson Xavier, and it has powerful six processors and runs on 30 watts.

Meet Nvidia’s new chip for robots

On Monday’s Nvidia media conference, CEO Jensen Huang said that the chip would be used for robots and not for PC. Jetson Xavier could operate, according to Huang, 30 trillion operations per second.

“This little computer is going to be the brain of future robots,” company co-founder Huang told reporters at Computex in Taiwan.

Jetson Xavier

“Robots that drive, that fly, that swim, that goes underground, that picks strawberries, picks lettuce, picks apples, helps you in the lab, like Jarvis handing you your screwdriver,” Huang added, “this little computer is the brains of future intelligent machines.”

Huang said the company took them five years to develop the Jetson Xavier. In fact, in the design phase, Nvidia spent three years and additional two years to create it. He further disclosed that to develop Jetson Xavier it hired with over 8,000 people.

“This is the single longest processor project we have ever done in our company,” Huang noted. “Essentially, a $10,000 workstation, 1,000 watts of performance, now fits in my hand for 30 watts.”

The chip’s shipment will commence by August for developers with a price tag of $1, 299. This is not the first time that Nvidia has ventured into AI chips. The company has developed several chips in the past both for fruit-picking robots and agriculture robots.
