Call of Duty 2018 will be Black Ops 4

It cannot be denied that Call of Duty franchise is being developed by three game studios with the impending release of Sledgehammer’ Call of Duty: WW2. But what exactly the rumor is all about?

Marcus Sellars, who was named as an industry insider privy to the plans, said that Call of Duty 2018 would be Black Ops 4. The popular game franchise is expected to be launched on various gaming consoles such as Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Moreover, he added that Call of Duty 2018 features “boots on grounds,” hinting the game would have similar concepts and gameplay to both Original Black Ops and Black Ops 2.

“COD 2018 is Black Ops 4 and is coming to PS4/Xbox/PC/Switch. It is set in the modern times and is boots on the ground. The Switch version will support DLC, HD Rumble and motion controls. The Switch version is also being ported by a company which is familiar with COD games,” Sellars said.

But fans are advised to take the rumor with a grain of salt as Activision has yet to announce the details of the game. Activision has earlier launched Call of Duty game titles for Nintendo gaming consoles, including the Call of Duty Black Ops 2 for Wii U.
