What do you think is the best version of Android mobile operating system? It is Android Nougat.

Search giant Google has finally revealed the widely-used Android mobile operating system. In information published on Google’s developer portal on Tuesday, the company said that Android 7.0 Nougat is the most-used version of mobile OS.

Google said that Android 7.0 Nougat is running on 28.5 percent of Android devices. These mobile devices are running either the Android 7.0 or 7.1 versions, respectively.

After the Android 7.0 Nougat, narrowing down is Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the second most-used version of a mobile operating system. Android 6.0 Marshmallow was released in 2015, and the said mobile OS stands at 28.1 percent.

Also, apart from Android 7.0 and 6.0, the search engine giant has released the latest 8.0 Oreo update of which it stands at 1.1 percent of Android devices. This means that Android 8.0 Oreo landed at sixth place with its meager improvement over 0.2 percent of Android devices running by October 2, 2017.

Meanwhile, tech users said that various Android devices were suffering from what they called “fragmentation” to software updates. As observed, a lot of Android devices were installed with the first version of the mobile when a user first bought it.

While Android Nougat is basking on the crown, it cannot also be denied that its rival, Apple iOS is competing closely with Google’s Android. And yes, Apple iOS shares the percentage of users using Apple iOS 10 which was released the same time with Nougat.
