Nintendo has nailed itself to be the best selling game console. The company’s Nintendo Switch was already saleable when it was publicly launched last year. The gaming console carried its success until the end of 2017.

Now for this year, Nintendo broke another record this year in the US. For staying 10 months on the market, the company’s Switch is, in fact, the fastest-selling gaming console.

Nintendo Switch 10-month sale performance

In 10 months which cover the period from launch since March 2017 since this month, there were 4.8 million Switch gaming consoles sold across the U.S.

The record-breaking sales of Nintendo have surpassed the previous home consoles within 10 months on the market. This includes Nintendo’s rival, Wii which sold at least 4 million units in its first 10 months.

Nintendo’s sales now stood at 2 million units through September. Apart from this, the company has also shared news about the performance of its various games in their platform.

For instance, Nintento’s The Legen of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has reached a rate of beyond 55 percent in the US. This translates to at least 2.64 million units, according to the report.

Also, Nintendo’s popular game Super Mario Odyssey has reached over 60 percent which is equivalent to 2.88 million given the fact that it was belatedly launched at the end of October. One of the factors contributed to it is the game Breath of the Wild which is available on Wii U gaming console.

Another Nintendo game that is performing well is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe where it its over 50 percent or equivalent to 2.4 million copies, and Splatoon 2 with over 20 percent copies or equivalent to 960, 000 copies.

According to the company, it expects that Nintendo Switch would surpass the Wii U sales globally by the end of March. It has also increased the production of Switch to meet the global demand.
