This year is indeed a great year for LG. This is because LG has announced this week that it will debut a new smart speaker powered by Google Assistant called LG ThinQ.

In a statement, LG said that it would showcase a “superior, clearer and the smarter lineup of premium audio products that promise to change the way people think about home speakers.” The company is expected to publicly debut the speaker during CES 2018.

What makes LG ThinQ superb in audio experience?

The LG ThinQ, it offers a “premium” audio experience using the Meridian Audio’s advanced high-performance audio technology. The aforesaid technology is expected to deliver a more natural and warm sound.

Aside from offering music, LG ThinkQ can function to manipulate smart home devices using Google Assistant as well as a voice app developed by LG. The said voice app also controls LG home appliances like washers, dryers, refrigerators, among others.

However, LG did not yet disclose the price of the LG ThinQ. What we know so far is that its price is comparable with other leading smart speakers in the market.

“Sound technology has come a long way since LG introduced the first radio to Korean consumers almost 60 years ago,” said Seo Young-jae, head of the convergence audio and video business division of LG’s Home Entertainment Company.

“At this year’s CES, I’m confident audiences will be impressed with the amount of technology we’ve introduced into our audio products without compromising on sound quality,” she added.
