Rumors have it the Snapchat is planning to debut a feature that will allow its users to share stories beyond the mobile up. The news comes after the company has launched the new lens studio desktop application. Tech users viewed the plan of Snapchat as a bid to amplify its presence across the social media platform.

Here’s what you need to know about Snapchat’s “Stories Everywhere”

This new Snapchat feature is called as Stories Everywhere. By having this feature, netizens will be able to see the app’s premium video as well as editorial content. All these contents are expected to be rolled out on various news websites and other online social media platforms.

With this, Snapchat is obviously in the bent of strengthening its own brand as competitions between Instagram and Facebook are getting stiff. Snapchat’s Stories Everywhere is still a work in progress. This means that Snapchat users will see more features and functions in the future.

Snapchat’s Stories Everywhere is led by former Storyful CEO and News Corp executive Rahul Chopra, citing a report from Cheddar, a live streaming news network. Hence, the job of Rahul Chopra is to bring more users to Snapchat. Such strategy is very similar to how micro-blogging site Twitter, in 2011, allows its users to embed tweets on the social media platform.

Meanwhile, some tech analysts claim that Snapchat’s move is a calculated one as the company’s revenue fell in the third quarter this year. It can be recalled that Snap’s public offering has failed to attract more investors because they are struggling to understand how the social media app works.

Early this month, Snap has released a redesigned Snapchat app which offers a more personalized experience.
