A Smart City by Bill Gates

How great it would be if we have our very own city, right? Microsoft’s co-founder, Bill Gates, invested millions of dollars to make a futuristic city in Arizona.

An eighty-dollar investment was made by a group which is associated with a Gates investment company.

The said “city” will be designed around high-speed networks, autonomous vehicles, high-speed digital networks. Additional perks are data centers, new manufacturing technologies and autonomous logistic hubs.

Although it’s unclear how much former Microsoft CEO Gates, who owns Belmont’s parent company Cascade Investment, will be involved in the effort.

The real investment group who is leading the project said that the smart city will have an estimated 182,000 population.

Arizona has a reputation as being a technology-friendly state. Building a city full of advanced technologies is a great idea for the place.

The investment is the latest example of excitement surrounding rebuilding cities from the ground up with a digital mind-set.
