Wouldn’t it be great if we could have an app that would immediately text those who we are to be meet that we are going to be late?
Well, lo’ and behold. Bill lee and Mike Belshe would love to give you the ability to do so. Never again text while you drive as these two developed an app that would do that for you.
The Twist app will text pre-determined individuals that you are about to be late in your engagement. You need not key in the words yourself as the app will automatically sense that you are indeed running late and would then send the message to the one you’ll be meeting.
The Twist app takes into account traffic, different modes of transportation and your own habits when estimating your time of arrival to your destination.
Twist app uses you smartphones GPS capabilities then sees if you’re going to be late. If it senses that you would, then it will send an SMS the one you’re going to meet and tell him/her of your new ETA.
According to CEO Bill Lee, “I took over 200 meetings last year waiting for founders. Invariably at meetings, someone was early, running late, getting lost or stuck in traffic.”
CTO Mike Belshe added, “At its core, we like to think Twist is the easiest and most accurate way to let people know when you’re going to arrive.”
