The popular kids TV show The Muppets are now in Google Plus.

Although you can’t add the shows famous characters to your circle, what you can at least do is pretend thanks to the new ad that Google is running. The popular characters are using Google+ for a band session playing David Bowie and Queen’s collaboration, “Under Pressure”.

This is not the first time Google has used The Muppets to assist one of its products. The company teamed up with them as they celebrated the 75th birthday of Jim Henson, the creator of The Muppets. Google created an interactive “Google” logo to mark another milestone in Henson’s life.

Can The Muppets help Google+ with their Social Networking business? The new player in the social networking scene has seen an increase in their growth the past few weeks. According to Hitwise, Google’s social networking entrant has seen its 3rd busiest week of traffic last November. This figures are a 25% increase comparing it to its October figures.

The Los Angeles Times reports that numbers continue to dwindle for Google Plus since its release last June. Hitwise also reported that the social networking site had 15 million visitors but they are losing more than half of the traffic over the next weeks. Latest figures show that they have 6.8 million weekly visitors as of mid-November. Three-fourths of this are return visitors.

These figures are not actual growth of those subscribing to the service.
