Apparently, people are so much on-the-go that they’re not purchasing in eBay online but on cellphones too, thanks to the eBay app.
According to eBay, shoppers are using their cellphones to make more purchases this holiday season, with 1.5 million products sold in the past several weeks – that’s three times the number for the same period last year.
eBay purchases included traditional gift items such as watches, cellphones and video games. Others however also found some unique stuff to buy on eBay this gift-giving season such as a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette that sold for $75,000 and a 23-foot boat that sold for $19,108.
According to the San Jose, Calif.-based online auction site, more than 6 million people have eBay’s app on their iPhones and visit the site more than 2 million times each day.
