Apple thought they can stop hackers from unlocking/jailbreaking its iPhones with the newest OS, but apparently, they still can’t.
iPhone-hacking guru George Hotz has given the web a sneak peak on the upcoming blacra1n RC3 with blacksnOw with the release of a teaser image.
I’ve you’ve been living under rock and didn’t know what blacra1n in, it’s one of today’s jailbreaking tools that unlocks both iPhones and iPod touches, thereby unleashing your unit to its full potential – at least that’s according to those owners who’ve tried it.
This latest version of blackra1n RC3 now includes Cydia and Rock installer packages. It will also include the much-awaited unlocking utility, the blacksn0w. The latter is the very first software that will enable users to unlock 3G/3GS running the stock 3.1.2 firmware from iTunes with 05.11.07 baseband (modem firmware).
Blackra1n RC3 with blacksn0w will be released on November 4, 2009.
