The Expanse will have its season four in its new home, Amazon Prime. Syfy has discontinued the show on its network. This caused an outcry from the fans. But Jeff Bezos announced that The Expanse will have a new home.

The Expanse is a show which is currently on its third season of the Syfy network. This is based on the book by James S.A. Corey. The critically acclaimed political conspiracy series is set in a colonized solar system of the future. It is said to be one of the network’s best. But it could not find high ratings on Syfy. Thus the search for a new home for its fourth season.

Amazon is the new home of The Expanse for its fourth season. Its new home will bring a wider audience to the show. Amazon trailing Netflix in terms of original content will bring a big fanbase. This will also be very beneficial to the company’s video streaming platform.
According to Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, co-founders of Alcon Entertainment, “We could not be more excited that “The Expanse” is going to continue on Amazon Prime”.
Syfy’s decision to cancel the show reportedly stemmed from its extremely limited broadcast rights for the show.
The Show’s Storyline
“The Expanse” is a series chronicle that lead up to war between various planets and assorted colonies vying for control of the solar system. It has a small group of characters caught up in a vast conspiracy that threatens all of humanity.
Oscar-nominated screenwriters Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby developed the series and serve as executive producers. Showrunner Naren Shankar is also working withe them on this show. The series stars Steven Strait, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, and Wes Chatham.
