As a part of the Android Go program, Nokia was planning to launch its Android Go smartphone. The company has finally launched Nokia 1 in India and it is the first Android Go smartphone among the company. Back in February, Nokia licensee HMD Global had announced the Nokia 1 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
However, the Android Go program will deliver an optimized experience for your budget smartphones. Also, the Android Go smartphone will come with lightweight versions of Google apps and services, such as Gmail Go, Google Maps Go and etc. The company has launched Nokia 1 at Price of Rs. 5,499.
The Nokia 1 is launch in two different colors i.e Red and Dark blue. Also HMD Global is offering ‘Xpress On’ covers which have been priced at Rs. 450 and it will be available from next month onwards. This cover will available in 2 different colors which include an Azure + Grey unit and a Yellow + Pink one.
Nokia 1 Specifications:
The Nokia 1 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. The handset is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor which is coupled with 1GB of RAM. It support for dual nano-SIM. The phone includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.
Coming towards the camera, it has a 5MP rear camera which is combined with LED flash and has 2MP secondary camera which is very decent. Nokia 1 has 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card slot.
Like other smartphones, it also offers various connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. According to the company, the smartphone has 2150mAh battery which can easily deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 15 days of standby time. Moreover, with Nokia 1 you can find a headset within the box itself.

Nokia 1 also comes with a number of launch offers from various companies, telecom operators, and more. Jio is offering Rs. 2,200 cashback for all buyers of Nokia 1. The cashback money will be credited to users’ My Jio account in the form of 44 vouchers worth Rs 50 each. As a part of launch offers, Jio users will also get additional 60GB data.
Also, the Nokia 1 owners get complimentary 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance from Servify. To claim this insurance, users have to open a Kotak 811 savings account with a Rs. 1,000 deposit. Also, redBus is offering 20 percent discount on their first booking ride.
