Huawei’s New Triple Camera Phone
Huawei is preparing to launch its triple camera phone.
The Mate 10 Pro was announced by Huawei at CES last month. But already, they are preparing to gear up their next phone, the P20. It will be launched in an event in Paris.
Introducing The P20
The P20 is Huawei’s next major device. This is after they announced another of their devices, the Mate 10 Pro. The launching of this new device will take place in an event in Paris on March 27.
Reports say that there is a possibility that the P20 will be the first major smartphone to feature a triple-lens rear camera system. This is via Android Central.
According to rumors, the company is said to launch three devices at the event. These devices are the P20, the P20 Lite, and the P20 Pro.
What Is The Third Camera For
Many are wondering what the third camera is for. The typical dual-camera systems have either a black and white and a color lens, or a standard lens and a telephoto lens.
Oher rumors say that the flagship P-series will use the triple-lens system for 40 megapixel stills with 5 times zoom, so it could enable multiple levels of optical zoom. It will be fascinating to compare the triple camera P20 to Samsung’s dual camera S9.
But in todays market, competition between smartphone makers and developers is tough. So maybe the third camera is there to give Huawei and its P-series an edge in the market.
With the coming of the P20, smartphone camera war is about to heat up a notch.
The P20 is thinner than the Mate 10 Pro. It will be more compact than the Mate 10 Pro. It will have a 6-inch OLED display. The same artificial intelligence-enabled Kirin 970 processor, and Google’s latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
Its top and bottom bezels will be thinner than the Mate 10. Enough to fit Huawei’s new “Point Cloud Depth Camera” for facial recognition and a physical fingerprint reader.
Only time will tell if Huawei’s triple-lens camera phone, the P20, will be enough to convince consumers away from the trendier, near bezel-less smartphones.
