Huawei Honor View 10 is the most compelling US phone yet. But it has a tough competition.
All About Honor View 10
Huawei’s Honor View 10 phone has something new, something old, something borrowed, and something blue. The 18:9 screen and the slim top and bottom bezels are new. But the all-metal build and chamfered edges are old. The phone is a good shade of blue. And the antenna lines seem to have been borrowed from iPhone 6.
The Honor View 10’s display is 2160 x 1080 pixels at six inches is very usable. It makes the View 10 feel like an iPhone 8. The LCD’s screen is not totally outstanding, but is definitely fine for its price.
We should take note though that the Honor View 10 has a screen protector mounted. This is because its screen is sensitive and prone to scratches. But this also happens to other phones.
Other Features Of Honor View 10
One flagship-level feature that Honor View 10 has is its processor. It uses the Kirin 970 chip. This is similar to Huawei’s own HiSilicon unit previously seen in the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.
Together with the 3750mAh battery, the 970 is also responsible for the Honor View 10’s excellent efficiency. It’s camera includes a 16-megapixel main sensor paired with a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor for extra detail. The 970 also does a good job at processing color pictures.
Its Competition
Honor View 10’s direct competitor is probably the OnePlus. Not only do they compete in features but 8n price as well. With its price of $499, Indeed the OnePlus is its direct competitor. Were it priced at a lesser cost, it would truly be a bargain.
Honor View 10: Good And Bad
The good things about View 10 are: it has long battery life, fast performance, it has a solid hardware and a headphone jack.
If there are good points, then definitely, there are bad. To start with, it is not water resistant. It has an uninspired design and an unintuitive software.
