Samsung has finally revealed a new largest solid state drive. Samsung’s solid state drive bragged a whopping 30.72 TB storage capacity.

 

Samsung’s 30 TB SSD: What you need to know

 

Gadget enthusiasts claim that the 30.72 TB is crammed in a 2.5 storage container. The new solid-state drive is intended for customers who want to move from the standard disk-based hard drive.

 

 

With this huge storage capacity, it can actually hold 5, 700 HD movies. This means you can watch non-stop videos for 500 days. The 30.72 TB space offers more storage capacity when compared to the largest SSD.

 

It can be recalled that Samsung has released a 16 terabyte drive last March 2016. While Seagate has unveiled an SSD with 60 terabyte capacity. Samsung’s new PM1643 actually contains 16 layers of 512Gb V-NAND chips.

 

 

PM1643 is created from 32 sticks of 1TB NAND flash packages. Samsung said that the new Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) drive offers faster read and write speeds of up to 2,100MB/s and 1,700 MB/s respectively.

 

This means that using Samsung’s SSD; users can actually experience a stable and faster speed. The average SATA SSD speed would surely be less low compared to Samsung’s new SSD
