Reportedly Xiaomi is working on their newest smartphone and the successor of Xiaomi Mi 5X that was released last year. There are some leaks of its photos online and it kinda looks like the Apple’s iPhone X. With 18:9 display and the famous vertical dual back camera. It shows that it will have 2 color variants- Black and Gold. The leaks also show that it will sport a fingerprint sensor on the back of the handset.

The most recent leak was posted on Weibo and spotted by OnPhones that shows the front and back design of the phone. The most obvious and recognizable feature on the leak is the vertical dual rear camera popularized by the iPhoneX, which was released late last year.

Its predecessor Xiaomi Mi 5X sported a horizontal dual rear camera design and as for this leak, its somehow new to Xiaomi users.

The Mi 5X was launched in certain markets including the ones in India as the Mi A1. Its running in Android OS and part of the Android One initiative by Google.

Aside from the noticeable camera design, you may also see the fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone and was also a feature of the Mi 5X.

Now, on the front, you may see a bezel-less display with a possible aspect ratio of 18:9. It might sport the same 5.99-inch 18:9 display same as the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus. The Mi 6X was rumored to be showcased at MWC 2018 this February.

The photo leaks focused only on the physical aspect but the internals might be powered by Xiaomi’s leaked Surge S2 processor. It features an octa-core processor, with four cores of Cortex-A73 clocked at 2.2GHz, and four cores of Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.8GHz. The processor is also said to have a Mali-G71 MP8 graphics processor and support for LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.

Well, this is just a speculation but Xiaomi will sure give us a “WOW!” and we’ll just wait for that moment to come.
