A new update will be hitting Samsung’s Galaxy A5 2017. But before any of that, let’s have a recap of the phone’s full specifications.
Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 Specifications
The Galaxy A5 2017 is one of the greatest phones released in 2017 by Samsung. The phone is a member of the company’s A-series smartphones.
It has a mid-range chipset, not that usual for A-series phones, the Samsung Exynos 7880. It also has 16-megapixel camera both in the front and rear.
A new-style USB-C socket is also in place.
The Galaxy A5 2017 is a real looker. In fact, its glass-and-metal construction feels so seamlessly well put together and is 5.2-inch in size display.
What’s really cool about the A5 2017 is that it’s WATERPROOF. Yes! Not just water resistant like the other Samsung phones. The A5 2017 can actually submerge as deep as 5 feet (1.5 meters) for up to 30 minutes. Very great feature for those underwater diving peeps.
The Blue Filter option is also present in this baby.
Now, for the new update
A firmware version A520FXXUBRA8 weighing in at 22MB is coming our way. This update will be released in the January security patch.
The update is currently hitting in Europe, specifically the Netherlands, and is assumed that other regions will be getting it sooner.
No flagship devices of the company have received the update as of now.
