Apple users across the globe may not be able to appreciate the news about its accessory. The Cupertino-based tech company’s Bluetooth accessory, the Apple Airpods is already sold out at Apple stores until January 2018.

Apart from Apple Store, other retail stores like Best Buy and Target have reported the same information. However, AT&T, which is another online store enticed more customers when it announced that the store would implement a two-day delivery with a payment of $14.95 as deliver fee.

It can be recalled that Apple has introduced the Airpods back in 2016. The tech company’s Bluetooth accessory was actually scheduled for its debut back in October last year. Apple said that it encountered some production issues with Airpods.

Such problem pushed the tech company to debut the Bluetooth accessory until late December. But the public’s positive reviews of Apple’s Airpods which resulted in an immediate sold out of the accessory is not surprising, according to an analyst.

Airpod as a hottest mobile accessory?

For instance, Tim Bajarin, an analyst with Creative Strategies, said that Airpods had been the “hottest of all the wireless earbuds for months.”

Bajarin added that Apple’s bluetooth accessory gained popularity among people because of the device’s price and sound quality.

Back in May, Apple CEO Tim Cook said when asked about the supply issue of Airpods: “We have increased production capacity for AirPods and are working very hard to get them to customers as quickly as we can, but we are still not able to meet the strong level of demand.”

Meanwhile, the tech company’s latest iPhone iterations have removed the standard headphone jack. This prompted Apple users to buy the wireless Airpod as the major replacement for a headphone jack.

And now, online reports suggest that some Apple users have traded their Airpods at auction sites like eBay for a more expensive price. Some users have reportedly jacked-up the price of their Airpod to rake more profits in selling the accessory.

Apple has yet to comment on the issue.
