A new version of Twitter for iOS is going to be rolled out sometime soon, improving the current app that Apple users are using.
Screenshots released by 9to5Mac about the iOS 6 App Store showed changes of Twitter for iPhone.
Features such as push notifications for tweets that you follow, better support for password entries, changes to auto-complete and an alert when new stories are available, pack the upgrade.
A much improved experience on viewing photos and playing videos is also made available.
Unfortunately for iPhone users, the release date for the Twitter app upgrade is still unavailable. However, the report released by 9to5Mac said that if we base it on Instagram’s app update, the day the note was discovered and the actual update release was about 10 days. So we might be expecting for the update to come in a few days to come.
Rival apps have haunted Twitter ever since they made their services available to Twitter users. Apps such as Tweetbot and Twitterrific have enjoyed a good amount of success.
Twitter received a number of complaints after the micro-blogging site removed a number of features from their iOS app. Twitter eventually returned some of the features to the app, but not all.
