Xbox 720 to be integrated with Skype

Rumors of the Xbox 720 gaming console are prevalent on the net and if they are true, it would most likely be the best gaming console ever created.

According to reports, the new Xbox could feature Skype video integration.

This came about after Microsoft posted a job posting looking for a London-based lead Program Manager.

The listing added that the company considers the Xbox a “fundamental lynchpin” of Skype in its bid to put a stamp on the living room. Microsoft also said that the position is time-critical.

The posting said, “Skype is working on powering real-time voice and video communications on the Xbox. Xbox is a fundamental lynchpin of Skype’s living-room strategy, and we are focused on enabling amazing new in-game and in-console voice and video experiences for the next generation of Xbox. This is a crucial initiative for Xbox, and it is time-critical given the hardware lead times involved.”

Analysts also said that they aren’t quite sure what “in-game” video is. Though they are guessing that this will enable gamers to watch other’s actions when they use Kinect or it could also enable them to shout for joy after they pound their opponents in an NBA 2K game.
