Harry Potter series now available for Kindle

Amazon announced last Thursday that they will be adding the Harry Potter series for Kindle owners.

Prime members of Kindle’s Lending Library will be able to have access to the 7 book series by J.K. Rowling. The books will be available in various languages including Italian, French, German and English.

The Harry Potter series was only made available in e-book form last March on Pottermore. Kindle owners have to transfer the e-books to their devices. Now, Amazon has an exclusive license from make the books available in the Kindle Owner’s Lending Library.

CEO and founder of Amazon.com Jeff Bezos said, “We’re absolutely delighted to have reached this agreement with Pottermore. This is the kind of significant investment in the Kindle ecosystem that we’ll continue to make on behalf of kindle owners. Over a year, borrowing the harry Potter books, plus a handful of additional titles, can alone be worth more than the $79 cost of Prime or a kindle. The Kindle Owner’s Lending Library also has an innovative feature that’s of great benefit for popular titles like harry Potter – unlimited supply of each title – you never get put on a waiting list.”
