Apple’s virtual assisstant Siri has taken flack in England.
Twelve year old Charlie Le Quesne tried a demo iPhone 4S in one Tesco brand in UK, and to her surprise, the once kind assisstant let the little girl have it (Siri has a male voice in UK).
The Sun reported the incident and according to them Charlie asked Siri, “how many people are there in the world?” Siri then answered Charlie, “shut the f*** up, you ugly t***.”
The report also added that Kim Le Quesne, Charlie’s mom, said “I thought I must be hearing things. So we asked again and the same four-letter stuff blared out.”
In defense, a Tesco staff said that somebody entered this offensive phrase as the user’s name in the set-up instructions.
The Sun also added that Tesco is currently doing an investigation and has sent the iPhone back to Apple for further diagnosis.
