In a move to trim operating costs, makers of the popular “Rock Band” video game has cut 39 jobs.
Joystiq reported that an MTV Games representative that developer Harmonix Music Systems Inc., the company that made playing simulated guitars and drums possible has eliminated around 13 percent of its employees.
This news came shortly after the company announced that “The Beatles: Rock Band” game has sold more than 1 million copies. Ironic, isn’t it?
The rep however said that the layoffs were part of their restructuring to “better align [the] staffing to best suit [Harmonix’s] product development plans and schedules moving forward.”
