LG Electronics announced Thursday that it will be launching three new smartphones in the coming weeks.
The new smartphones will be running on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS, the first that LG phones will be using Windows software from Microsoft Corp.
The third-largest mobile phone maker signed a deal with Microsoft in February, making Windows Mobile LG’s primary smartphone platform. LG has big plans this year too! The company is planning to launch 13 new Windows smartphones by the end of 2010.
However, although Windows Mobile may be its primary OS, LG isn’t closing its doors to developing phones with other software. The company is also developing models based on Google’s Android software.
