If you’re tired of having friends crowd over your cam after taking a picture to see that captured moment, this might just be the ideal camera for you.

The CoolPix S1000pj from Nikon is a point-and-shoot camera that has a 2.7-inch LCD, 12.1-megapixel sensor, an ISO sensitivity up to 6400 and yes, an integrated projector.

Definitely the first of its kind, the camera can project images up to 40-inches wide from 2 meters away from a screen or wall in VGA resolution.

The camera comes with a remote control that allows you to change the image being projected. The remote control can operate camera functions too, so no need to rush over after clicking that button.

The CoolPix S1000pj will be sold for ÂŁ389 in Europe although the exact U.S. pricing and availability is not yet announced.

A point-and-shoot cam as fast as a D-SLR

Another camera unveiled today from Nikkon is a point-and-shoot touted as the world’s fastest CoolPix camera. The CoolPix S640 can focus and take pictures a fast as a D-SLR, well, at least according to Nikkon.

Just like the S640 also has 12-megapixel resolution, a 2.7-inch rear LCD and ISO capability up to ISO 6400.
