Samsung used part of its financial report for the first quarter of 2018 to warn investors of a possible slump on the smartphone market. The warning proved to be correct as there is a decline on global sales of smartphones in the market.
Because of this decline, the company is trying something new to mix up it offerings. Samsung is trying to reinforce its position as one of the leaders in the smartphone market.
The Galaxy S8 Lite From Samsung
According to reports, the Galaxy S8 Lite looks the same as the Galaxy S8. It has Samsung’s “Infinity Display”, Bixby dedicated button, and the same fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone, just below the camera.
Galaxy S8 Lite’s Specs And More
The Galaxy S8 Lite has a more budget friendly specs which are different from the original Galaxy S8. Although its display size is identical to its flagship counterpart at 5.8 inches, its resolution is lower, and tops out at 2220 by 1080 pixels.
The phone has a 16-megapixel camera at the back. Inside is a Snapdragon 660 chip, instead of Galaxy S8’s Snapdragon 835 chip. Its RAM is 4GB and has a 64GB internal storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. Images show the phone come in black and red.
Galaxy S8 Lite’s Release
Although pictures of Samsung’s Galaxy S8 Lite have already leaked, the company has not revealed a release date for the device yet. So if you are eager to get your hands on the cheaper version of Samsung’s Galaxy S8 which is the Galaxy S8 Lite, you are not that lucky yet.
