Gamers were able to learn the information after Rockstar Games has posted the information on its official blog. On the same blog, the company has also issued an apology for the game’s delayed release. It can be recalled that the Red Dead Redemption 2 is supposed to be released in Spring 2018. The developer explained that the delay would give the gaming studio more opportunity to polish the game.

“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26, 2018,” Rockstar Games said in a statement posted on its blog. “We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.”

“We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks,” the developer pointed out.

While the developer announced the game’s release date, it also releases a group of screenshots where gamers can see a variety of selection of these screenshots. Rockstar Games, however, is mum if the popular game will have a PC version.

It is worthy to note that the game’s first version was not released on PC. However, the game developer’s recent release of Grand Theft Auto V has a PC version of the game.
