Android Wear’s lag caused by “OK Google” have already been fixed
Android wear’s lag caused by “OK Google” have already been fixed in their newest update. Experiencing lags are the worst ever. Whether in playing games, surfing the internet, or even using simple apps on our mobile devices. It’s so very frustrating and causes inconvenience at times. But these problems also occurs on smartwatches. There are reports by users last year regarding the lag when using the “OK Google” on their Android Wear devices.
But the good news, according to a report from users on Reddit, it looks like the problem has been fixed. In a post on Reddit by user citypanda, “It’s finally over. After days of testing, I’ve confirmed that the issue with OK Google Detection that’s been slowing down so many of our AW2 watches, as describe here, is now resolved.”
“Simply be sure the Google app on your watch is updated to v7.19.18.25arm, turn OK Google Detection off then on, and reboot your watch – everything should be fast and stay fast, and saying ‘OK Google’ should bring up your Assistance once again”, the user also added. For those who turned off the feature, you might turn it on after updating to see if it actually works. Simply go to Settings → Apps → System Apps → Google → App Info.
It’s not clear how widespread the rollout of update is. Some users might be expecting it sooner. And to those who haven’t received it yet, let’s just remain patient. Yes, we’re excited about this because a lot of people have AW2 watches but it will find its way to us. But if waiting is not your genre, you may download the update from APKMirror. Just make sure you download the arm version and correctly sideload it to your device.
