Sony has nailed itself to be the leading game console on the market today. The company has reached a new milestone because of its console lineup. In a press statement earlier this week, Sony Interactive Entertainment said that it sold over 70 million PS4 gaming console machines to date.
Moreover, Sony’s PSVR, an accompanying accessory of its VR, is, in fact, gaining a strong momentum. PSVR’s sales have reportedly surpassed the 2 million sales this month.
Andrew House, chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said that Sony is delighted of the public’s acceptance to PS4.
“Many people are enjoying the unique entertainment proposition of PlayStation 4, and that an emerging technology like PlayStation Virtual Reality continues to gain traction,” said House.
“I cannot thank our fans and partners enough. Their support, since the launch of the very first PlayStation in 1994, has helped to make PlayStation one of the biggest console gaming networks in the world,” House added in a statement.
The Sony official further explained that Sony would continue to work closely with its identified partners to maintain momentum.
