Japanese tech giant Sony is rumored to be ready to release their new gaming console, the PS4. But the company has yet to confirm that they are developing the latter.
Rumors have been spreading that the latest console by Sony will be dubbed as PS4 ‘Orbis’. The information comes from a source of Kotaku, who they said is a source that is not authorized to speak publicly about the next gen console, but has shared factual information with them.
During Sony’s press conference at the E3 2012, the company has been tight lipped about the PS4 console.
Analysts say that Sony will not announce or talk about the PS4, unless they are fully satisfied that the PS4 will show a “significant leap” in technology.
Chief executive of SCE told MCV, “The right time to talk about new advances in hardware is when you can demonstrate a significant leap on the current experience, and something that is going to be attractive. Beyond that we have nothing to say at this point.”
The Kotaku source also revealed that the PS4 will have an AMD x64 CPU and 28nm AMD Southern Islands graphic power.
What’s sad is that the PS4 is developed to not play second hand games. PS4 games will be tied to your Sony Entertainment Network account thus preventing individuals to resell the product.
