Another app that used to be exclusive for iOS has launched its Android version.

The company, Box, unveiled their Box OneCloud for Android devices last Monday with about 50 Android app integration partners. Box is now partnering with a number of companies like iAnnotate, Breezy, FetchNotes and CloudOn.

According to Chris Yeh of Box, as told to Mashable, “We have some pretty dramatic shifts happening in our customer base. Thirty-five percent of our users are mobile-only and have never accessed Box using a laptop or PC.”

He added that Box’s Android app has already been downloaded 2.5 million times since its release.

“When we launched on iOS the most common request we got from our users was, ‘Where’s the Android app for this?’”

There are only a few apps that can be overlapped from one platform to another. OneCloud integration for both iOS and Android devices enables apps to be fully integrated in with Box. This allows you to open files from your Box account within those apps and save those files back to the app once you’re through.

Yeh admitted that the company has a larger base in Android compared to iOS. Growth wise, Android’s was also bigger than iOS.
