Google finally rolls out Hangouts On Air

Last Monday, Google Inc. enabled their Google+ members broadcasting “hangouts” live to Internet titan’s growing online community.

Hangout On Air was unveiled by the company about a year ago in their social networking site, Google+, via selected members to test the service that gives you the ability to video chat with about ten different individuals.

Google+ Engineering Director Chee Chew said, “This small community ahs grown the feature in lots of creative ways, and they’ve made on thing crystal slear: when groups of passionate individuals can broadcast live, together, the results are truly remarkable.”

Popular individuals from all over the world have taken part in “On Air” hangouts. The likes of President Barrack Obama, Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moo are few of those who have used this service.

Chew added, “Today we’re excited to launch Hangouts On Air to Google+ users worldwide. So if you have something to say-as an aspiring artist, a global celebrity, or a concerned citizen-you can now go live in front of a global audience.”

The “On Air” button is being rolled out by Google gradually because according to the company, rolling it out simultaneously could result in longer a longer roll out period.
