Michelle Obama is now officially on Twitter

One of Twitter’s latest users is well known to majority of us. In fact, after sending out nine tweets after after she officially signed up last Thursday, her followers have already reached 300, 000+  and the numbers are still rising.

First lady Michelle Obama has jumped on the Twitter mania well before the 2012 election season starts. On her first tweet she said, “ Hi, everyone, and thanks for the warm welcome. Look forward to staying in touch with you here. -mo.”

As we countdown the months leading to the 2012 elections, Team Obama is doing all it possibly can to stay in the White House.

Michelle’s husband, the President, is already a member of Twitter as he signed up during his election campaign last 2008. He now has almost 12 million followers. He welcomed his wife in Twitter by tweeting, “it’s not every day we get to welcome the First lady of the United States to Twitter-happy to have you, @MichelleObama!.”

Her account will be managed by staff and anything Michelle wants to tweet, they will be tweeting it and will have a sign “-mo”. President Obama’s signature includes his initials “-bo” and is also being updated by his staff.
