Game creator Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintedo is the on responsible for much beloved games such as Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda and many more titles will try to shake up the gaming world anew with his inkling to create something fresh.
In a CNN interview, the Nintedo honcho said through an interpreter that, “I am really keen to work on something really new, which eventually is going to be important for the future of Nintedo”. He also added that, “I would like to try to do something which might be able to expand the boundary or the definition of video games.”
The interview was done after Wired reported that Miyamoto is going to step down as the company’s director and producer responsible for the development of products and games.
Nintedo said that, “Miyamoto’s role at Nintendo is not changing. He will continue to be a driving force in Nintedo’s development efforts.”
The gaming revolutionary will have a senior role in the company and is responsible in helping carve the future of Nintedo’s hardware and software.
Miyamoto said that they have to “incorporate something new all the time.” He also added that, “everything starts from something small whenever we are trying to find out something new.”
The Nintendo Executive declined to give details on their upcoming project in depth. But he gave clues such as gyroscopes and wireless proximity communication as technologies that he would like to pursue.
