Mac-compatible scanners from Cannon

Canon U.S.A has unveiled the newest addition to their already wide rage of electronic products: the imageFormula DR-2510M (retails at $795) and DR-2010M (retails at $555) desktop scanners.

These two high-speed document scanners are the first fully Mac-compatible from Cannon and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

Both the scanners have USB 2.0 interfaces and “Scan-to-Job” buttons that send images directly to an application, shared network folders, to an e-mail or the printer.

The DR-2510M and DR-2010M also features “Advanced Text Enhancement,” “Color Dropout Correction” and “Auto Color Detection” as well text orientation recognition. Both operate at 600 per inch optical resolution and allows 50 pages of documents to be scanned automatically in its document feeder.

The DR-2510M is able to scan B&W, color, and grayscale page at 25 pages per minute while the DR-2010M scans 20 pages per minute.
