Osmo Mobile 2: Specs, Features, Price, and Release Date
So what’s big about this news? Osmo Mobile 2 users will see significant changes to the popular device. One of which is the Osmo Mobile’s price. DJI is now selling the smartphone stabilizer for $129. This means that it would be affordable compared to the previous model with a price tag of $299.
For this year’s improved Osmo Mobile model, one of the significant change that users will be able to note is the device’s capability to support shooting in portrait. You can actually shoot in portrait mode while the device is mounted.
It should be noted that the previous model of Osmo Mobile 2 did also support portrait mode shooting, but it did not support mounting the phone in portrait. DJI said that the new model allows users to shoot comfortable while having the flexibility to hold the grip upright.
Also, regarding physical design, the Osmo Mobile 2 is made of high-performance nylon which is a combination of both nylon and magnesium alloy. The mixture of both chemicals gives a lighter feel of the device. DJI has also made some changes in the device’s buttons. The buttons now are simple, and the accessory mount was moved to the side.
The device’s battery is now replaceable with an estimated life of 15 hours on a single charge, way higher than the previous model. What we learned so far is that DJI is expected to debut the Osmo Mobile 2 next month. Pre-orders will be starting on January 23 for Apple exclusively.
