Insights On The Walking Dead Season 9

Here are some insights on what to expect on The Walking Dead Season 9. The Walking Dead Season 8 concluded in a thrilling fashion. Rick and Negan threw down in a field. With the former slashing the latter’s throat but choosing not to let him die. Instead, he damns him to “rot in a cell” until the end of his days.

What To Expect In Season 9

When asked what to expect in season 9, showrunner Scott Gimple said: “The show evolves. They are facing different problems. They are facing different problems with each other. And the world itself will be very, very different.”

Season 9 has already been renewed and is set to premier late 2018. Gimble added, “It looks like Maggie, Jesus, and Daryl are now in a civil war plot against Rick for keeping Negan alive. Lauren is so amazing in that scene. She is full Maggie Corleone. And Jesus, you know, he would not have killed the the surrendering Saviors. But he is not Morgan. That is not really off the menu for Jesus.”

Given the events of the finale and where the show is chronologically speaking, it is very likely that The Walking Dead Season 9 will adapt “A New Beginning”.

The characters in season 9 will be dealing with things they have never dealt with before. They will be dealing with each other in ways they have never seen before. It will be like a whole new show, considering the way it has evolved. This very much lived in the world that Rick began with. It was so informed by the pilot. It just takes this quantum leap forward in the stories that it tells. But it cannot be said that season 9 will feature a time jump.

Negan survives in the storyline in the comics. The choice was made by Gimple to keep him alive on the show. It was partially due to the impact it had on him when he read it.

Gimple said that he found it shocking when he read it. And that something resounded with him. He said he liked it because it was unexpected. According to him, it was the right thing for the character, and the right thing for the world.

For now, we can all just speculate on what The Walking Dead Season 9 will bring us. Let us wait and see as it is set to premier this year.
