AT%T Inc., T-Mobile USA, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel Corp. and US Cellular, a regional carrier, will be giving their subscribers the ability to own the Galaxy S III, which is touted to be an “iPhone killer”.
Two companies will start selling the smartphone on the 21st of June. These two are T-Mobile and Sprint. The latter’s version comes with a 16GB memory and will cost the buyer $200 on a two year contract.
The other telco’s haven’t publicized their planned released dates, but Samsung said that these 3 will be announcing it anytime soon.
The carriers will be selling the Galaxy S III with different specs. It is reported that different telco’s will have a model adapted to their network.
The Galaxy S III runs on Android’s software and has the latest Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.0 preloaded on it. It is good to note that the S III is lighter and thinner than the iPhone.
The S III is already sold in many countries. It went on sale in Middle East and Europe last week.
