There are quite a few rumours out on how the new Pixel 3 XL’s display will look. But they do point to one thing: a notch that is similar to the iPhone X.

A leaked image from Slashleaks shows two tempered glasses designed for the Pixel 3 series. On the right is the Pixel 3, suggesting that it will adopt the same design language as its predecessor. On the other hand, its larger brother looks like it will not be ditching the notch after all.

It has since been speculated that the next-generation Pixel devices will have a notch. This was because Android P now supports the feature.

Another report also supports the notch rumour, this time from Bloomberg. According to the report, one of Google’s next marquee phones will have that infamous cutout on the top of its screen.

Additionally, it is also anticipated to have an edge-to-edge screen with only a bottom bezel. People “familiar with the matter” also told Bloomberg that the notch on the Pixel 3 XL will house two front-facing cameras.

Google has been known to release their flagship phones in October. It won’t be surprising if the search giant follows the same schedule this year when they announce the latest in the Pixel series.
