Movies That Are Must-Watch This 2018

Annihilation

This movie is based on Jeff VanderMeer’s novel. This is a sci-fi thriller. This is about a biologist (Natalie Portman) who is looking for her husband (Oscar Isaac), who disappeared. While Jennifer Jason Leigh plays the role of a psychologist. This movie is directed by Alex Garland, an acclaimed novelist and screen writer. Garland turned to directing and had his debut with the movie Ex Machina.

The Happytime Murders

Directed by Brian Henson, this is a movie about a world where puppets live alongside humans. To be brief, this is about a puppet private eye who is looking for a serial killer. This killer is killing members of an 80’s hot television show, The Happytime Gang. Among the human cast are Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph and Elizabeth Banks. Bill Barretta, a long-time Henson collaborator, is among the puppet team.

Early Man

This is a comeback movie for director Nick Park. And he brought with him a new bunch of characters, too. Early Man is a new stop motion animated venture that used the considerable skillset of Aardman to take us back to the caveman and cavewoman times. There is an adventure in this movie that involves football fighting, and tons of comedy.

The Incredibles 2

Another animated movie from writer/director Brad Bird. This is Pixar’s sequel to the first The Incredibles movie. This time, there’ a new villain to defeat. But with it comes the growing problems and complications in a house with a family of super heroes living in it. It’ a film with a balance of skill, humanity, and sheer comedy.

Black Panther

A film directed by Ryan Coogler, this film is full of superhero action. Chadwick Boseman did an excellent job in portraying the role of T’Challa/Black Panther. This is one of the three Marvel cinematic universe movies in 2018. And one you must watch.
