Fans of the popular SMG in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode should get in the game right now. The game’s developer, Epic Games is planning to remove the online shooter game temporarily on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Why Battle Royale Will Remove A Weapon This Week?

Epic Games also said that some variants of the Battle Royale would remain unstable as of the time being. It explained that the game is undergoing some development update.

And while the game is being updated, Epic Games has actually disclosed some of its plans. The game developer said that Battle Royale is expected to be rolled out on various consoles with 60 frames per second. New items are also expected but it, however, did not reveal what these items are.

Apart from this, the game features a specific gun called as the SMG. The aforesaid gun will be put into the “Vault.”

The game developer has since reportedly expanded the exact meaning of this. What is certain though is that SMG would be removed completely but it will be returning shortly.

“As we add more weapons, consumables, and other item types, we want to make sure that the balance of itemization isn’t ruined,” an Epic representative wrote on Reddit.

“Expect more items to be released (and likewise vaulted!) in the future. And of course, items will often come back out of the Vault when the timing is right,” the representative said.
