This 2018, expect a lot more surprises from big companies in the industry of gadgets. We look forward for what is new in our eyes and something much better than that of last year. Here are ten predictions that might happen this 2018.

Hello 18:9
Say goodbye to bezels and welcome 18:9. More space for screen and lesser frame. You now have a wider range if you’re up for some movies and series or fond of reading e-books like me.

More battery life
Thank goodness for this. I hope companies will really put this up in the upcoming gadgets this year because this one is a major problem of the consumers. Especially for those who are traveling and doesn’t have an extra battery. This one has to be on the top list.

On-screen biometrics
Last year was a huge success for Samsung products because they had their biometrics for their smart phones like the iPhone. But now, expect an in-display fingerprint scanners due to the bezel-less design. Well, that one was started by the famous iPhone late last year by releasing the iPhone X.

Wireless charging
This one is huge! Imagine not using wire for charging and just put it on top of the charging pad then viola! It’s really a tangle-free year! But this one also became a trend last year but expect more tweaks this 2018.

The year for HTC
Well, it hasn’t been a year for HTC, actually for quite some time now. It is set that they will have a major comeback in today’s trend. Due to Google’s investment and the company’s goal to have a firm organization, the once-loved Taiwanese brand had its downward.
But on the other hand, they might release a newer design for their mobiles with a bang or start taking it easy for a smooth business with Google. Whatever it is, expect a huge comeback for HTC.

A new treat from Android
Expect a newer OS from Android and they might call it Popsicle. From Pancake to Pumpkin Pie to Petit Four, they might name the new OS as Popsicle. We don’t have much information regarding this update but we sure do that this will be huge.

Release of iPhone X Plus
This big company may set to release its largest smart phone ever or some call it Phablet, a phone in the size of a tablet. Due to its on-going success on the iPhone X, Apple might release 3 devices, a 5.8-inch screen, 6.1-inch and a 6.5-inch screen phone.
For now, let’s just wait and see what would be in store for us from Apple.

A cheap iPhone?
Yes, you heard it right! This may be a joke to some because the iPhone is one of the most expensive devices with great specs and one of kind design, but the Apple may release a budget-friendly iPhone in the size same as the iPhone SE. The SE was released last April 2016 and this one might be released on the same month, maybe March or April this year. It is rumored that it may have an A10 Fushion chip, 32-128 GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, a slightly larger battery and a 12MP back and a 5MP front camera.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+
Enough with iPhones, let’s proceed to the Samsung. Following the success of the Samsung S8 and S8+, the company may release another one, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. Some say that the release would be this January, but most sources expect that it would be much later, around March or April.
It is said to have a “3D Sensor-front camera” to unlock the device and also an in-display fingerprint scanner.
There may not be much of a big change due to a big revelation from Samsung S8 and S8+ but this will be more of an improvement on their part.

Foldable Smartphones? What?
Is this for real? Well, it may, or may not be. How could you fold a touchscreen device with a wide screen and put it in your pocket without worrying that your screen may get scratches and dents? Isn’t it cool right?
But top companies like Samsung and Apple might be studying on how the screen will be folded and bended but we sure are excited for this new innovation for smartphones.
Whatever it may be, let’s just wait and see if how this would be literally happen and enjoy what they would offer us but for me, I’m so excited and I hope these will not be just a prediction but more of a reality.
