Analysts have pointed out that a Facebook branded smartphone is about to pop up in the shelves soon. Speculations seem to have met in them as a number of sources have revealed that a new concept design has emerged on what the Facebook phone might actually look like.
Though rumors have been spreading for quite some time already, there has been no actual proof that would say that there really is a Facebook smartphone on the pipeline of the social networking giant.
However, a report by T3 points out that the Facebook phone will tout an aluminum design that features looks that are similar to a number of existing smartphones in the market: Motorola Razr and some HTC handsets.
It is good to note that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg brought a lead Apple engineer. To possibly help Facebook develop their own smartphone? This might very well be.
According to a Facebook employee, whose name we shall omit from this article, “Mark is worried that if he doesn’t create a mobile phone in the near future that Facebook will simply become an app on other platforms.”
Do you think that would be good for Facebook to enter the smartphone wars currently being dominated by Apple and Samsung?
