As Facebook continues to grow, MySpace is uhm, doing the opposite, with its share dropping more than half since last year.
According to a report by Experian Hitwise, an Internet monitoring company, Facebook increased its share by more than 190 percent. The No. 1 social network in the U.S. grew from 19 percent in September 2008 to 58.6 this year.
Twitter is has also been generating lots of visits whose share rose from 0.15 percent to 1.84 percent, making it the fourth largest social network.
On the other side of the spectrum, MySpace is sadly, still in second place despite its effort to keep up with the competition.
According to Hitwise, MySpace still has a 30-percent share in the social-networking market now, but it’s a far cry from they’re 66.8 percent share last year.
Well, if MySpace can’t come up with something unique and attractive to offer to its users, I think it’s safe to say that that 30 percent won’t be 30 percent for long.
