The Natural Sapphire Company has crafted an 18-carat white gold case with 2,830 blue Ceylon sapphires that totals to 169.8 carats. The Apple logo is formed by 38 rubies totaling to 2.28 carats and a single marquise-cut green sapphire on the leaf of the apple.
According to the company’s website, the source of their gems is Madagascar, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
Individuals who purchase this glamorous case can personalize the design. They can even add platinum and sapphire colors (this would definitely increase the $100,000 price tag).
The jeweler said, “Though you may be the ‘cool’ one who gets it first (iPhone 5), in no short amount of time, you will be just another iPhone 5 owner.”
Analysts have pegged that a total of 58 million iPhone 5s will be sold by Apple by the end of 2012. Pre-orders for the device began last Sept. 14.
If you want to make your mark on the elite class, then buy one of these.
On hindsight, do people really need to shell $100,000 for iPhone 5 cover?
