Apple is reportedly unveiling the iPhone SE 2 next month. It will come with touch ID, an A10 Fusion chip but without a headphone jack.

Another day, another rumour for Apple products. This time, it’s about the iPhone SE 2 and it could be coming REALLY soon.

Japanese blog Macotakara has published new details pertaining to the iPhone SE 2 after talking to a case maker of the phone. This new information coincides with the Eurasian regulatory filings of new Apple models this month.

According to the report, the latest iPhone SE will be launched as early as next month. It will have the same look as the original iPhone SE with the same 4″ display and touch ID. However, it will now be powered with an A10 processor similar to the iPhone 7. Apple Pay is still supported using NFC.

A big difference on the design however, is the removal of the headphone jack. Apple started dropping the headphone jack on its iPhones with the iPhone 7 when they marketed it as water resistant. Could this be a new feature of the iPhone SE as well?

The image posted on the blog showed a case with the same colour as the iPhone 8 blush gold. And similar to the latter, the report claims that the new model also has a glass back and could probably support wireless charging.

Since its launch in March 2016, Apple hasn’t released a new version of the iPhone SE. Perhaps it will finally be this year? Let’s wait and see!
